Landscape spring 2018

From 17 to 20 May, in Kyiv National Botanic Garden named after N.N. Grishko a Landscape Spring Festival 2018 was held. Within the framework of the Festival there was a show-competition of gardens “Green Visa to the Future”, 12 unusual garden compositions came out to the final.

The Festival topic is not accidental as the issues related to the preservation of the earth ecosystem are in global trend nowadays and are more crucial than ever. The winner of the competition was a landscape designer from Kyiv Anna Galagan, presenting her mini-garden “Paradigms of Thinking”. The composition is constructed of concrete blocks, depicting the human brains. “This garden encourages us to think about how to leave our children a planet where they will be able to breathe fresh air. After all, It is possible to construct a city where everything is made of stone, grey, or you can make it beautiful.

Everything begins with thinking, that is why the brain is the key element of the garden” – explains the author of the work. The event also included an extensive business program: lectures and seminars for architects and designers, master classes and test drives. WoodPlast representatives also made their presentation of a terrace board Brugan and Legro, as well as the advantages of WPC usage in landscape design.
