Light composite terraces: hope and reality

Many people dream of building a bright terrace by the house or pool.

There are many reasons for this: someone wants to refresh the space or make it as harmonious as possible with nature, who visually enlarge it. Someone just likes light colours in the exterior.

A few years ago, a light-coloured terrace was a pipe dream. Both for consumers and for designers or even manufacturers of terrace boards.

After all, the composite of only light grey colour was as close as possible to the light shade, to make a board of creamy shade or white was not possible for almost no one.

Today, snow-white terraces are no longer a dream, but a reality. For example, the Bruggan collection already includes two of the most desired shades: Cream Latte and Smoke White. The manufacturer Legro was the first in the world to create a completely white colour of terrace board – Fashion White.

But for many, the question still remains, is a light coloured patio practical and how do you look after it?

But for many there is still the question of whether a light-coloured terrace is practical and how to care for it? Firstly, a light-coloured terrace board is no different from its darker counterparts. It is as strong, hardy, unpretentious to temperature fluctuations. It is not afraid of fungus, mould or insects.

And most importantly, a light-coloured terrace requires as much attention and care as its dark counterparts – that is, minimal. It is very easy to restore it at the beginning of the season: just wash it with soap and water or a special solution. And it is just as easy to clean before the onset of cold weather.

Secondly, the light-coloured composite board does not fade or burn out in the sun. It stabilises much faster than other shades on the terrace.

Thirdly, our experience with Cream Latte and Smoke White coloured terraces has shown that they are no less practical and capricious than a darker board.

On a light coloured patio, dust and dirt are not visible. And even when they are, they are easy to clean.

In addition, light-coloured terraces have one weighty advantage – in the sun, the composite heats up 30% less than any analogue. And this means that you can freely walk barefoot on your terrace, even in extreme heat.

In addition, light-coloured terraces are very harmonious with the greenery of the garden or with the blue water of the pool.

This is why they are most often chosen by exterior designers to create a unique feeling of freshness and lightness.

Perhaps if you had any doubts about a light coloured patio, we assure you that they are unfounded.

A light-coloured composite board has all the properties that terraces of a different shade have.

And it always looks unrivalled.
