Why a Separate Profile Was Needed

When a standard decking board is used as the outer edge, a typical problem arises — the installation groove remains visible. To cover it, an angle trim or overlay profile is usually used.

This solution:

• adds an extra element to the structure,
• creates a visible joint,
• requires additional fasteners,
• complicates the installation process.

The situation is similar when building steps: to create the front edge, the board usually needs to be milled or finished with a corner profile.

These operations increase labor intensity and do not always ensure a perfectly clean edge geometry.

Structural Solution

LEGRO ST140 is a profile without an outer mounting groove on the front side.

It is designed for:

• finishing the deck perimeter,
• forming steps without additional overlay elements.

Installation is carried out using a finishing (starter) clip from below, which ensures hidden fastening and a clean front surface without visible screws.
