In almost every article, we emphasize that it is the terrace board that is the easiest and most comfortable to care for.
Since composite is an innovative material, created precisely taking into account all the disadvantages of natural coverings. Therefore, at the beginning of the season you can again make sure that you have chosen the best material for your terrace.
So, the frost and cold season is coming to an end and if you want to take better care of your terrace, you just need to follow a few simple rules to keep your terrace looking perfect.
- If the terrace is still icy, you should not water it with warm water and other thawing solutions. These products can damage the structure of the composite;
- to get rid of ice on the terrace, it is better to use plastic scrapers;
- to get rid of snow, use a broom or shovel made of polymer;
- never use shovels or brushes with metal tips to clean the terrace;
- when wet cleaning your patio, detergents should be free of chlorine and acetone.
What do I need to clean my patio at the beginning of the season?
- A medium-hard brush (remember that it is strictly forbidden to use brushes with bristles made of metal);
- any detergent without active chemical impurities;
- warm water.
So the process of cleaning the terrace from the composite looks like the usual year-round terrace care process:
- remove all unnecessary things from the terrace (furniture, plants in tubs, decor, etc.)
- with a broom or broom remove leaves left after the winter period and coarse dirt;
- first rinse the board thoroughly with warm water;
- brush the entire surface with a mixture of water and detergent. You can use a little force to remove any remaining dirt;
- rinse the board again with warm water.
Alternatively, if there is dirt left on the patio, you can use a Kärcher high-pressure washer – it will deal with it faster.
It happens that stains are left on the terrace after winterization that cannot be washed off. In such cases, you will need special cleaners for your patio.
