That is why we have created a new, improved clip for installation of Start/Finish terrace systems.
Let’s see how it differs from the familiar, ordinary clip (spoiler, almost everything has changed):
Firstly, it has another round hole next to the oval hole that was on the regular clip. This comes in handy when the clip is used as a starter clip. Previously, the self-tapping screw was screwed into the oval hole and the clip moved slightly and did not fix the starter board properly. Thanks to this round hole, you can fix your start clip more securely and it will not move at all.
During the finish, we recommend using the oval hole as before. This hole has also been slightly modified, it is now longer.
Secondly, the shape of the clip has changed. In the standard clip it was monolithic and bent, in the new clip it looks like two ‘ears’ with slightly bent up ends. With this new shape, the board holds better and the construction will be stronger.
Thirdly, the thickness of the clip has been increased compared to the standard model. As a consequence, the board will be better secured.
